‘We are tired, it isn’t working’ Sowore speaks on bad governance, blasts Buhari, Lai Mohammed

Activist, Omoyele Sowore, claims that the current administration has failed Nigerians.

Sowore delivered his remarks on Wednesday, when he led a group of demonstrators to Abuja’s Unity Fountain to mark the one-year anniversary of the #EndSARS protests.

Sowore, speaking in Abuja, said the youngsters are fed up with the country’s current condition of things.

“We are fed up with a system that isn’t working for us. We can’t keep pretending that the system is on our side,” he remarked.

He added that a system where “incompetent and wrong” people are in power, they cannot be expected to “reform your country for you”.

He also rebutted the minister of information, Lai Mohammed’s claims that there is no indication that protesters were slain at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos in October 2020.

Sowore reacted to the news by saying the federal administration “lied.”

“No one is doing more to tarnish the image of the Nigerian police than Lai and his boss, Buhari,” he stated.

“The federal government is lying; it is a federal government of lies. When they killed Shiites even though we saw the bodies, they lied; when Biafra people were killed, they lied about it; when they kill students, they lie about it.
“What has the federal government never lied about to you? The job of the minister of information is misinformation and disinformation.”
