From 15 to 17 September 2026, Yaba College of Technology in Lagos set lectures aside for music, dance and campus showmanship as Soundcity OnTour, powered by Bigi Carbonated Soft Drink and Fearless Energy Drink from Rite Foods Limited, took over the grounds.
For three days students left the classroom for a stage. Campus activations built the noise first.

Then aspiring singers stepped up for the Bigi Music Competition, trying different sounds for the YABATECH campus title, a N1m prize and a path to the national round.

The Fearless Dance Challenge ran beside the singing. Dancers used the same open space to show nerve and footwork, adding another pulse to the yard.
The three-day stop is due to climax on 17 September with the Soundcity OnTour concert.
The billed acts are Modola, Tariq, Syemca, Slimcase, Peter Okoye, known as Mr P, and Kodee, with Duuwa and Rukmani also on the list.
Rite Foods Limited Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Ekuma Eze said the brands wanted young Nigerians to have somewhere visible to create. “Young people are not waiting for culture to happen; they are creating it every day. Through the Bigi and Fearless brands, we want to meet them where that creativity is most visible and give them platforms where they can express themselves, discover their capabilities and connect with opportunities beyond the immediate moment.”

The YABATECH date sits inside a wider 2026 campus tour that has already taken Bigi and Fearless to universities across the country.

On this campus the point was simpler. For three days the timetable bent, the stage belonged to the students, and Yaba College of Technology used the moment.
