Real Madrid have completed the signing of Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to €140 million (£120 million).
The highly rated 19-year-old has signed a seven-year contract with the Spanish giants and becomes one of the most expensive teenagers in football history.

According to reports, the transfer fee could surpass the amount Real Madrid agreed to pay for England midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in 2023.
Diomande attracted interest from several top European clubs following a standout season with RB Leipzig. Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly among the teams pursuing the winger but ended their interest after a €120 million (£102.5 million) offer was rejected.
Premier League giants Liverpool were also linked with the Ivorian forward, having seen an initial £69 million bid turned down as they searched for a replacement for Mohamed Salah.
The teenager becomes Real Madrid’s sixth signing of the summer under manager Jose Mourinho, joining Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Carlos Espi.
Diomande enjoyed a remarkable 2025/26 season in Germany, winning the Bundesliga Young Player of the Season award after scoring 12 league goals and providing eight assists. He also recorded 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.
The winger represented Ivory Coast at the FIFA World Cup, featuring in all four matches as the Elephants reached the quarter-finals.
Known for his speed, dribbling skills and ability to operate on both wings, Diomande is expected to add more attacking depth to Real Madrid’s squad as the club prepares for the new season.
