Nigerian crossdresser Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, best known as Bobrisky, has addressed the tense air following his ‘Best Dressed Female ’ award.

The crossdresser clinched the ‘Best Dressed Female’ and was awarded N1 million at the Beasts of Two Worlds movie premiere on March 24 at Circle Mall, Lekki, Lagos State.

Since then, there has been an uproar on social media as Nollywood stars vented their displeasure over the issue.

To mention a few, Toyin Abraham in a video expressed her shock and disbelief after finding out Bobrisky won Best Dressed Female.

Fellow actress, Dayo Amusa made a video criticizing the organizers and Femi Adebayo for announcing Bobrisky as the winner.

Singer Portable also waded into the matter and went as far as releasing a diss track to taunt the effeminate man.

Amid the ongoing saga, Bobrisky who seemed unperturbed and enjoying the drama has come forward to address women and all those who do not want like his personality.

The crossdresser urged people to accept him the way he is and stated that women must accept him into their clique because he is part of the sisterhood. Bobrisky wrote:

“Respect people how they want to be addressed. I can see a lot of women coming out to say different things. I will not insult anybody. I love women. They are the most powerful gender in the world.”

“See, you guys have no choice; you have to accept me. I am part of the sisterhood. Do you hear me? You have no choice, so deal with it. Deal with.”

Bobrisky however, highlighted that he won the award because he dressed according to the movie premiere theme and made a fashion statement.

He also revealed that Femi Adebayo wasn’t the person who picked the winner. He added:

“We had three judges at the event who decided the winner. All Uncle Femi did was to announce the results he was given.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian filmmaker cum actress, Eniola Ajao finally addressed the controversial Best Dressed Award that was given to crossdresser, Bobrisky at the filmmaker’s Beast of Two World movie premiere.

The actress while speaking in a TV interview said the aforementioned decision was taken simply for clout, in a bid to promote her movie.

Eniola Ajao made it known that it was a deliberate decision to pick Bobrisky as the winner as it was all a publicity stunt and marketing strategy to promote her movie.

The mother of one noted how the crossdresser is a controversial person, hence, her decision to award him the Best Dressed Female to generate more buzz for her project.
