Famed activist Adetoun has criticized the Nigerian Police Force for classifying the popular inspirational phrase “No Gree for Anybody” as a crime,

in a thought-provoking video that was uploaded on her official page. The activist voiced her worries and demanded an explanation for the law enforcement agency’s classification of such a powerful and encouraging statement as illegal.

Adetoun, known for her advocacy for social justice and human rights, questioned the rationale behind considering a slogan that is widely used for self-motivation and encouragement as a criminal act. The phrase “No Gree for Anybody” has become a popular and empowering mantra embraced by many individuals seeking resilience and determination in the face of challenges.

In the video, Adetoun emphasized the importance of understanding the context and intention behind the usage of such slogans. She urged the Nigerian Police Force to prioritize addressing more pressing issues and challenges faced by society rather than targeting expressions of motivation and positivity.

The activist called for transparency and open dialogue between the police force and the public, emphasizing the need for a clearer explanation of why a slogan promoting self-determination is being treated as a crime. Adetoun highlighted the potential impact of such actions on freedom of expression and the right of individuals to express themselves in a manner that resonates with their personal beliefs and motivations.

As the video gains traction on social media platforms, it has sparked discussions among netizens who share Adetoun’s sentiments and concerns regarding the perceived infringement on individual rights and freedom of expression. Many have called for a reevaluation of the decision by the Nigerian Police Force and a more focused approach to addressing critical issues affecting the nation.

The video posted by Adetoun catalyzes a broader conversation on the intersection of free speech, individual rights, and law enforcement practices, prompting citizens to reflect on the implications of such actions on the democratic values and freedoms enshrined in the Constitution. The activist’s call for transparency and accountability resonates with those who advocate for a society where citizens can freely express themselves without fear of reprisal for positive and motivational messages.
