Popular actor, Yomi Fash-Lanso, has debunked rumour making rounds on social media that the late gentle and suave Nollywood actor, Abu Rasheed Saliu Abiodun, died of the deadly COVID-19.
Recall that precisely on the April 15, it was widely reported that the actor died of the dreaded virus.
However, YFL, as he is fondly called, has revealed what happened.
“Contrary to those reports, Abu Rasheed Saliu Abiodun did not die of coronavirus. He was asthmatic and hypertensive.
“He slumped and died due to asthmatic attack.”
He then appealed to members of Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) to disregard the report.
“I, hereby, appeal to all TAMPAN members and general public to disregard information circulating he died of coronavirus,” he said.
While mourning for the dead, Yomi Fash-Lanso stated that he was ‘a very good boy’.
“Abu Rasheed, you fought your demon to the last. May your troubled soul find eternal rest in the bosom of your creator,” YFL mourned.
