Falz denies aiding Bobrisky’s legal issues, demands retraction from VeryDarkMan over defamatory claims. Legal action threatened if no apology.

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]alz confirms contact with Bobrisky over legal issues, denies financial assistance, and demands retraction of defamatory statements from VeryDarkMan.

Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, known as Falz, has clarified his involvement with controversial social media personality, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, in relation to the legal troubles Bobrisky faced earlier this year.

Falz confirmed that while Bobrisky sought his advice, he firmly rejected any request for financial assistance.

Falz’s legal team, Falana & Falana Chambers, issued a formal letter to Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, demanding the retraction of defamatory statements made against Falz.

The allegations suggested that Falz conspired with Bobrisky to influence the outcome of his legal case by providing financial support.

The letter, dated September 26, 2024, from Falz’s lawyer, Taiwo E. Olawanle, explained that Bobrisky had contacted Falz on May 4, 2024, requesting legal advice.

However, Bobrisky quickly shifted the conversation to a request for financial assistance of N3 million, which he claimed was needed to secure a VIP section at the Correctional Centre. Falz declined this request, advising Bobrisky that no payment was necessary.

The letter also addressed a social media post by VeryDarkMan on September 25, 2024, which insinuated Falz’s involvement in a scheme to “pervert the course of justice” and made further unfounded accusations about his personal life.

Falana & Falana Chambers have demanded an immediate retraction and public apology, warning that failure to comply within 24 hours would result in legal action for damages to Falz’s reputation.

This controversy follows a viral video where Bobrisky alleged that unnamed EFCC officers collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges, an accusation both Bobrisky and the EFCC have since denied.
