JAMB has commenced the accreditation of Computer-Based Test centres for the 2025 UTME, with strict requirements for participation.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially started accrediting Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres in preparation for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to a statement from JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, established and new centres must follow specific procedures to qualify.

Operators of centres successfully accredited for the 2024 UTME are required to register their interest through the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal.

Meanwhile, new centres must create accounts via JAMB’s Zonal and State Offices to facilitate their registration.

Dr Benjamin highlighted that all centres must conduct a mandatory Autobot/Autotest, with the date to be communicated by JAMB.

This test will precede a physical accreditation visit by the Board’s team. Only centres meeting all requirements will be eligible for the 2025 UTME.

“All new Computer-Based Test centres wishing to participate in the 2025 UTME exercise must visit JAMB’s official site for details on the requirements to establish an approved CBT centre,” the statement read.

New centres must notify the Registrar of JAMB in writing, addressed through the Zonal Director or State Coordinator in their respective states.

Centres failing to meet the standards in the Autobot/Autotest will not qualify for further inspection or accreditation.

Physical accreditation visits are scheduled for December 2024. Successfully accredited centres will be included in the 2025 UTME registration and examination processes.

JAMB emphasised the importance of compliance to ensure a seamless UTME exercise, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining high standards for prospective students and participating centres.
