[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Lagos Shopping Festival, Africa’s groundbreaking 72-hour non-stop shopping and entertainment event, concluded triumphantly on Thursday, 26 December 2024, with thrilling performances from some of Nigeria’s most celebrated artistes.
Held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, the festival drew thousands of shoppers and entertainment enthusiasts who braved the chilly weather to enjoy an unforgettable blend of commerce and culture.

Top Nigerian performers such as Young Jonn, Teni The Entertainer, and EmmaOMG brought the festival to a resounding close with electrifying acts.
Adding to the magic were DJ Neptune, DJ D’Incredible, DJ Dips, and DJ YK Mule, who kept the energy alive on the decks.
The event, which ran from 23 to 25 December, featured three consecutive nights of vibrant concerts, including show-stopping performances by Adekunle Gold, Wande Coal, BNXN, and Ayo Maff.
Powered by the Lagos State Government in collaboration with Chain Reactions Africa, a leading PR firm, the Lagos Shopping Festival offered free entry, creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
It successfully positioned itself as Lagos’ biggest December event, combining shopping with non-stop entertainment to deliver an unparalleled holiday experience.
Attendees explored a variety of stalls showcasing Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), offering value-driven collaborations and innovative products across food, fashion, and other industries—all at discounted prices.
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, praised the organisers for their exceptional management, highlighting the festival as a safe, well-coordinated, and impactful initiative that strengthened Lagos’ reputation as Nigeria’s commercial powerhouse.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also commended Chain Reactions Africa for rekindling the entrepreneurial spirit among small businesses through strategic scaling and optimisation.
He emphasised that the festival’s success underscored its potential to drive business growth, foster collaboration, and enhance Lagos’ cultural and economic vibrancy.
Major sponsors such as Zenith Bank, Tolaram Group, First Bank Plc, and Guinness added to the festival’s appeal, showcasing creativity and reinforcing their commitment to promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
