A video of the scene has since gone viral, sparking widespread reactions on social media.

Sylvanus, who was stationed in Lagos before his transfer to Makurdi, had returned to the city on annual leave.

He had set out for church using public transport yesteday, leaving his family at home to join him later. Tragically, this decision marked his last moments with his loved ones.

Reports gathered by Freelanews suggest Sylvanus had been battling high blood pressure. It is believed that his collapse and eventual death resulted from complications related to the condition.

This incident has raised concerns about stress and its impact on health, especially for public officials often under immense pressure.

The EFCC is yet to release an official statement, but the loss has undoubtedly left a void among colleagues and loved ones.
