The development comes as details emerge from the horrific case that has shocked New York City.

Sources told The Post that the “Euro exec” is sought for questioning in connection with the alleged kidnapping and brutal torture of wealthy Italian trader Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan at a ritzy Prince Street residence in Manhattan.

The case gained significant attention with the arrest of Kentucky crypto figure John Woeltz on Friday.

Woeltz, described by sources as a crypto king worth at least $100 million and owning a private jet and chopper, has been arraigned on charges of kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and weapons possession.

He was ordered held without bail in Manhattan Criminal Court. His assistant, 24-year-old Beatrice Folchi, was also arrested but later released after the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office declined to prosecute her, pending further investigation.

The Euro exec was named as a person of interest in the sensational case after the arrest of Kentucky crypto king John Woeltz on Friday for allegedly kidnapping and torturing wealthy trader Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan at a ritzy townhouse on Prince Street in Manhattan.

Police launched a manhunt for the third individual, the Swiss trader, who sources claim has contacted law enforcement and indicated his intention to surrender this week, but only after enjoying the Memorial Day holiday in the Hamptons.

According to law-enforcement sources, Carturan, reportedly worth $30 million, was lured to the SoHo property and allegedly held captive for days while his tormentors subjected him to extreme torture to extract his Bitcoin password.

The horrific ordeal included being tied to a chair, tasered with his feet in a bucket of water, urinated on, pistol-whipped, and having his arms and legs cut with a chainsaw. He was also reportedly dangled from the top of a staircase.

Authorities stated that Carturan finally managed to escape on Friday when his captors were momentarily distracted. He was subsequently taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment for his injuries.
