Justice for Mohbad case gains traction as VeryDarkMan accuses Zlatan of hiding key facts about Mohbad’s death in a leaked conversation with Sam Larry
[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ustice for Mohbad case has been brought back to public attention following a fiery video by Nigerian social commentator and activist, VeryDarkMan, who accused rapper Zlatan of withholding critical information surrounding the mysterious death of singer Mohbad.

In a video posted on social media, VeryDarkMan shared an audio conversation allegedly between Zlatan and Sam Larry, a controversial figure previously linked to Mohbad. The conversation reportedly took place during the time of the singer’s death.
VeryDarkMan has now issued a 48-hour ultimatum, asking Zlatan to speak up about what he knows.
“This boy has not been buried for crying out loud. His spirit dey waka everywhere. Because he never get justice,” VeryDarkMan said emotionally in his video.
He also criticised Nigerians for moving on too quickly, accusing the public of hypocrisy.
He insisted that revisiting the Justice for Mohbad case was necessary because too many people who knew the truth had chosen silence over action.an was heard expressing reluctance to speak out, saying his parents had advised him to remain silent on the matter.
Sam Larry, however, reportedly urged Zlatan to share what he knew publicly and help clarify what truly happened to Mohbad.
In the alleged conversation, Zlated: “Zlatan, if you’ve been man enough and you say you want justice for this boy, come out and talk. You know what happened in that video. Why did you not say it?”
He went on to accuse influencers, podcasters, and government bodies of intentionally diverting attention away from the truth.
He suggested that the entire investigation into Mohbad’s death lacked transparency and was meant to quiet the case, not uncover real answers.
Mohbad died on 12 September 2023 under suspicious circumstances.
His family and fans have continued to call for justice, stating that the autopsy results were inconclusive and questioning the credibility of official investigations.
This is not clout chasing. This is justice chasing.
“People distracted us,” VeryDarkMan said. “We could not go towards the real killers and the people that were involved. They distracted us with fake podcasts and bullying tactics.”
VeryDarkMan’s comments have sparked renewed online debate and drawn widespread reactions.
While some have applauded him for reviving the case, others have criticised his directness. Nevertheless, his revelations have reignited interest in the Justice for Mohbad case, particularly among fans demanding accountability.
Speaking both in English and Yoruba, VeryDarkMan described the conversation between Zlatan and Sam Larry as “unedited” and “authentic.”
He urged the public to ask questions and not to let Mohbad’s legacy fade without justice.
He added: “A lot of you knew something, but you hid it. And now you want the case to just go down like that. You’re fake.”
As of now, Zlatan has not responded to the allegations.
But the viral video has placed renewed pressure on both him and other key figures mentioned in the Mohbad saga.
It has also reinvigorated the ongoing call for a credible and transparent investigation.
For those who supported the initial outcry but later fell silent, VeryDarkMan’s latest exposé is a stark reminder that the fight for truth is far from over.
