OGD legacy of service

OGD legacy of service showcases decades of dedication and real impact, focusing on achievements rather than propaganda or self-promotion

Fellow sons and daughters of Ogun State,It is unfortunate that at a time when Ogun people are yearning for peace, progress, and development.

Governor Dapo Abiodun and his Sycophants on payroll have chosen to flood the airwaves and newspapers with deliberate falsehoods against one of the greatest leaders this state has ever produced His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD).

Tolulope Adenuga’s so-called “open letter” is nothing but a product of Dapo Abiodun’s dirty politicsa propaganda machinery aimed at tarnishing the image of a man whose record of service and development in Ogun State remains unmatched. Let us set the records straight.

OGD’s Good Deeds as Governor (2003–2011)

Infrastructure Revolution:

OGD opened up Ogun State with massive road construction, bridges, and rural electrification projects that connected even the remotest communities.

Education Development:

He established the Gateway Polytechnic in Sapade, Itori, Igbesa, and the ICT Polytechnic in Ijebu Igbo, thereby expanding access to technical education.

Health Sector :

Daniel built and equipped several hospitals, upgraded existing ones, and ensured affordable healthcare for the people.

Industrialization :

He attracted local and foreign investors, creating jobs and turning Ogun into a hub for industries and manufacturing.

Youth Empowerment:

Through skill acquisition and entrepreneurship programs, thousands of young people were trained and supported to become self-reliant.

Agriculture:

His Gateway Holdings initiative boosted agricultural development and gave farmers better access to markets.

OGD has continued his legacy of service, attracting federal projects, road rehabilitations, youth empowerment initiatives, and scholarship schemes for his constituents.

Unlike many who occupy seats in Abuja without impact, Daniel has ensured effective representation, raising motions and bills that directly benefit Ogun people.

Rather than focusing on governance, Governor Dapo Abiodun has reduced Ogun politics to blackmail, propaganda, and personal vendettas.

He is afraid of OGD’s rising popularity and influence, hence the orchestrated suspension drama within APC.

He constantly deploys sponsored writers to assassinate the character of a man whose goodwill with the people runs deep.

The same governor who has failed in workers’ welfare, infrastructure, and public trust now thinks he can cover his failures by dragging OGD’s name in the mud.

If loyalty means blindly supporting failure and incompetence, then OGD is not guilty. He has always stood by the people, not individuals seeking personal fiefdoms.

The people of Ogun State remember his works, not propaganda.

Governor Dapo Abiodun should stop wasting taxpayers’ money on media wars and face governance.

The truth remains that OGD is not a political tourist he is a political architect who laid the foundation upon which modern Ogun stands.

History will be kind to Otunba Gbenga Daniel because he built, he served, and he continues to serve. No amount of propaganda can erase his legacy. Ogun people know the difference between propaganda and performance.

As for Dapo Abiodun, no government built on lies and blackmail will stand. Power is transient, but legacies endure. OGD’s legacies remain written in the sands of time.
