Otunba Gbenga Daniel commissions the Renewed Hope International Market in Ìgodè, Sagamu, fostering economic progress and community development in Ogun East

Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the esteemed Senator for Ogun East, has launched the transformative Renewed Hope International Market in Ìgodè, Sagamu, a landmark achievement for local economic advancement.

This commissioning, part of the BATOGD Movement’s Midterm Community Assessment Tour, highlights his resolute dedication to grassroots progress and unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bold leadership.

Speaking to an enthusiastic gathering, Daniel emphasised the market’s role in elevating Ìgodè and nearby villages onto Ogun State’s development radar.

Despite challenging road conditions, the Senator and attendees persevered to mark this historic occasion.

He urged the state government to prioritise road enhancements, unlocking the market’s full potential for regional connectivity.

The BATOGD Movement, unveiled at the event, solidifies Daniel’s firm endorsement of Tinubu’s courageous economic reforms.

He commended the administration’s decisive actions on fuel subsidy removal and foreign exchange stabilisation, which have significantly curbed market volatility.

These steps, he noted, reflect a purposeful redirection of Nigeria’s economic path.

Through his Gateway Front Foundation (GFF), Otunba Gbenga Daniel continues to uplift Ogun State communities.

Over 1,000 students have benefited from bursaries and scholarships, while more than 5,000 traders and artisans have accessed interest-free microcredit schemes.

His Medicare programme, partnered with Emzor and Eye Foundation, has provided free healthcare, including 3,000 successful cataract surgeries with no complications.

Daniel also highlighted his advocacy for regional progress. As Senate Committee on Navy Chairman, he celebrated advancements at the Abigi/Makun-Omi Naval Base, set to become a naval city with vast economic prospects.

His vision for an Agro-Cargo Airport City in Akaka Remo is taking shape, promising industrial growth and employment opportunities.

The Senator’s push for a new state from the Ijebu Province has gained momentum, with 75 senators backing the proposal. He also championed the South West Development Commission, crediting Tinubu’s support.

Daniel stressed that increased federal allocations post-subsidy removal demand accountable governance from states.

The Renewed Hope International Market, partly funded by Daniel’s personal efforts to improve access roads, stands as a symbol of progress.

He called on Governor Dapo Abiodun to tar the road, ensuring Ìgodè’s integration with neighbouring areas.

Reflecting on his 30-year alliance with Tinubu, Daniel noted shared policy successes, from road management to education reforms, that have shaped Ogun State’s development.

He thanked Ogun East residents for their support, pledging sustained efforts to elevate the region.
