Nigeria Police women prepare to celebrate 70 years of courage, resilience, and outstanding service since 1955, highlighting their vital role in law enforcement

The milestone celebration, announced by Force Public Relations Officer CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, will take place from December 3 to 4, 2025, bringing together serving and retired female officers, alongside the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

The Force highlighted that this occasion underscores the pivotal role women have played in strengthening law enforcement and fostering trust across Nigerian communities.

Over seven decades, women of the Nigeria Police Force have excelled in administration, investigations, tactical operations, and command leadership.

Their integrity, empathy, and professionalism have redefined policing with compassion and purpose, the statement added.

Activities planned for the anniversary include a national lecture, a historical exhibition, interactive panel sessions, and a community outreach programme.

The IGP commended the invaluable contributions of female officers, noting that their dedication and compassion remain integral to the operational effectiveness and public image of the Force.
