Rotary Club of Ikeja Township charter marks a new chapter as District 9112 leaders urge teamwork, service, and sustainability among new members
Rotary Club of Ikeja Township charter was officially celebrated in grand style on Thursday, 30 November 2025, at the Rotary District 9112 office in Lagos, marking the birth of a new chapter in service and fellowship.
The well-attended Charter Presentation and induction ceremony drew leading Rotarians and guests from across the district, including the District Governor, Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, who urged the new club to embrace hard work and unity.
“The real work of being a true Rotarian begins after the charter,” he said. “It takes commitment to keep a club afloat during its early years, so I implore you to roll up your sleeves and stay focused.”

Adding his voice, Public Relations strategist and Chairman of the District Public Image Committee, Past Assistant Governor (PAG) Ehi Braimah, emphasised the importance of love, understanding, and collaboration as the foundation of a thriving Rotary club.
Distinguished Rotarians, including the United President of the Rotary Club of Ikeja Alausa Central, PAG Olalekan Fadairo of Rotary Club of Ikorodu Metro, and members of the District Governor’s team, graced the event in solidarity.
In her acceptance speech, the Charter President, Rotarian Ambassador Ariyike Olukayode Elegbede, pledged to uphold the ideals of Rotary while leading the new club towards impactful service.
“We will not relent in our commitment to humanity and the continuous growth of our club,” she affirmed.
The newly inducted executives include Rotarian Victor Ojelabi as Vice President and President-Elect, Rotarian Akinfenwa Monsuroh Anike as Secretary, Rotarian Moyosore Ojelabi as Treasurer, and Rotarian Veronica Omoniyi as Club Administration and WeCare Chairman.

Others are Rotarian Adewale Onifade, Membership Chairman; Rotarian Mahona Ahide, Public Image Chairman; Rotarian Prince Adeniyi Akinola Olaige, Rotary Foundation Chairman; Rotarian Jeremiah Agada, Service Project Chairman; Rotarian Olamide Olayinka, Sergeant-at-Arms; Rotarian Babatunde Afolabi, Youth Service Chairman; and Rotarian Olayinka Dixon, International Service Chairman.
