The family of Chief Mfonobong Essien has announced the passing of Deaconess Naomi Mfon Essien, 1941 to 2025, following a brief illness.
The passing of Deaconess Naomi Essien was confirmed in an official statement signed by Chief Essien and made available to Freelanews, which described her as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and respected matriarch.
The family said late Deaconess Essien lived a life marked by deep faith, kindness and consistent service to her community.
She was widely regarded for her calm strength, humility and the enduring values she instilled in everyone who encountered her.
Deaconess Essien was the mother of Dr Mary Ade Fosudo, an accomplished professional in Business Support and the founder and Managing Director of Fosad Consulting. Dr Ade Fosudo has built a reputable career supporting blue chip and multinational organisations across different sectors.
Relatives noted that Deaconess Naomi Mfon Essien leaves behind children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family members who cherish the blessing of her long and impactful life.
They described her legacy as powerful and inspiring, emphasising the profound influence she had on her family and community.
