NAF air strike on terrorists destroys vehicles and neutralises fighters at a logistics hub in the Southern Tumbuns, the Air Force confirms

The Nigerian Air Force on Sunday carried out a decisive air strike on a terrorist logistics base at Dabar Masara in the Southern Tumbuns, neutralising several fighters and destroying vehicles used to support insurgent operations.

The operation was confirmed in a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at Nigerian Air Force Headquarters, who said the strike formed part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist activities and supply networks in the North East.

Air Commodore Ejodame said the mission was executed by the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai after credible intelligence revealed the presence of a terrorist workshop and sustained movement of armed elements within the area.

According to him, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions conducted ahead of the strike detected repeated terrorist movements and a concentration of vehicles concealed under vegetation, confirming the site as an active logistics hub.

Further surveillance on the day of the operation validated the earlier findings, with armed elements observed manoeuvring around the vehicles at the location.

“Following positive identification and in strict adherence to the Rules of Engagement, the targets were engaged,” Air Commodore Ejodame said.

Post-operation battle damage assessment confirmed that the identified vehicles were destroyed and multiple terrorist elements were neutralised during the strike.

The Nigerian Air Force said the operation highlights its continued reliance on intelligence-led and precision air power to weaken terrorist networks and support broader national security objectives across affected regions.
