Multiple Nigerian media outlets are reporting that Nollywood actress Doris Ogala was allegedly arrested by police at her residence on the evening of December 20, 2025.
The incident reportedly occurred while she was participating in a Facebook livestream discussing her public dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry (Grace Nation).
Sources including Legit.ng, Punch Newspapers, and Gistreel claim that during the broadcast, voices could be heard indicating the arrival of police officers.
The host of the session reportedly asked Ogala if authorities were present, to which she affirmed before the stream ended abruptly.
Comedian and former Big Brother Naija contestant, Dee One, announced the development on Instagram, stating: “Doris Ogala has just been arrested. I tried to warn her; the allegations did not add up. Now she will have to defend everything in court.”
The alleged arrest follows a series of escalating accusations from Ogala against Pastor Okafor.
The actress has claimed a romantic relationship with the pastor dating back to 2017, alleging that he promised marriage, leading her to end a prior relationship.
She further accused him of emotional distress, financial exploitation (including entrusting him with significant funds), and other grievances.
Tensions rose after Pastor Okafor married his bride, Pearl, in mid-December 2025.
Ogala responded by issuing a pre-action notice demanding ₦1 billion in damages for “breach of promise to marry” and briefly sharing (then deleting) private images purportedly of the pastor.
In recent videos, she called for the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the church, alleging irregularities including a death related to the construction of the altar.
As of December 21, 2025, there has been no official confirmation from the Nigerian Police Force or Pastor Okafor’s ministry regarding the arrest.
Ogala’s current whereabouts remain unverified, with some social media claims suggesting uncertainty about her location.

Neither party has released an official statement beyond prior social media posts and sermons. The matter may involve potential defamation or related charges if it proceeds legally.
