Tottenham appoint Igor Tudor as head coach until season’s end after sacking Thomas Frank, with Spurs 16th in the Premier League
Tottenham Hotspur have appointed Igor Tudor as Men’s Head Coach until the end of the season, subject to a work permit, following the dismissal of Thomas Frank.

Thomas Frank was sacked on Wednesday after Tuesday’s 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United left Tottenham 16th in the Premier League, just five points above the relegation zone.
In a statement published on Saturday, Tottenham said Igor Tudor arrives with a clear mandate to improve performances and results at a critical stage of the campaign.
“His mandate is straightforward – bring organisation, intensity and competitive edge to the squad at a decisive stage of the campaign,” the club stated.
Igor Tudor described his appointment as an honour, acknowledging the responsibility of stepping in during a challenging period.
Igor Tudor said his immediate focus is to instil greater consistency and ensure the team competes with conviction in every match.
“There is strong quality in this playing squad, and my job is to organise it, energise it and improve our results quickly,” Igor Tudor said.
Sporting Director Johan Lange said Igor Tudor brings clarity and experience of delivering impact in demanding circumstances.
Johan Lange added that the club’s objective is to stabilise performances and compete strongly in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
A former Croatia international and Serie A title winner with Juventus as a player, Igor Tudor has built a reputation for steadying teams after mid-season appointments. Igor Tudor has managed Galatasaray, Udinese, Hajduk Split, and Hellas Verona.
Igor Tudor guided Marseille to third place in Ligue 1 in the 2022/23 season, securing Champions League qualification, and later steered Lazio to a strong Serie A finish and Europa League qualification in 2024.
Igor Tudor most recently returned to Juventus in March 2025, leading the club back into the Champions League.
The Tottenham appoint Igor Tudor decision follows reports that the Croatian had informed the club of his readiness to accept a short-term contract until June.
