Bob-Manuel Udokwu Death Rumours debunked as veteran actor responds to fake online reports and doctored images circulating social media
Veteran Nollywood actor Bob-Manuel Udokwu has dismissed false reports of his death circulating online, describing the misleading claims as “fabricated and doctored.”

Speaking on the With Chude Podcast, Bob-Manuel Udokwu explained that it was his children who first noticed the fake news and informed him immediately.
The report included a manipulated image showing his head placed on another person’s body lying on a hospital bed, falsely claiming he had passed away.
The actor revealed that the doctored image was created using older photographs of himself, digitally edited to appear on the body in the picture, before being circulated as genuine.
Udokwu expressed frustration over the incident but said his children advised him not to take legal action against the perpetrators, suggesting it would be better to ignore the story rather than seek retaliation.
“My children were the ones who saw the news before I did, and they came to tell me about it. They took my head and placed it on a body lying on a hospital bed. They used some of my old photographs, pasted them in the right places, and wrote that I had died. My children, especially my daughter, told me not to go to the police or the DSS to find the person responsible and make them pay. They advised me to leave it alone,” he said.

The actor’s clarification aims to reassure fans and the public that he is alive and well, highlighting the growing issue of misinformation and the potential harm of fake news in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
