Ekiti Court remands Ahmed Tijani over alleged burglary and theft in Oye-Ekiti, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions
A Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of 35-year-old Ahmed Tijani at a correctional facility over allegations of burglary and stealing.
The ruling was delivered on March 4, 2026, following a prosecution request by ASP Yomi Osuolale.

The offences are said to involve Odin Oluwatosin, Obayemi Feranmi, Dada Emmanuel Ibukunoluwa, Babatope Goodness, Odianoween Blessing, Bayesewa Glory, and others, and are punishable under Sections 322(a) and (c), and 302(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
ASP Osuolale told the court that the alleged burglary occurred on February 10, 2026, at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the Oye-Ekiti Magisterial District.
He said further investigation is required and that the case file has been forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

Magistrate O. F. Bamidele ruled that Tijani be remanded in custody pending the DPP’s legal guidance. The matter was adjourned until March 25, 2026, for mention.
