MasterChef Nigeria first winner race begins as top home cooks compete for N73 million prize in a thrilling culinary showdown
The race to crown Nigeria’s first-ever winner of MasterChef Nigeria officially began as organisers announced the debut of the culinary competition set to premiere on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

The show, produced by Primedia Group, will air at 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, with simultaneous online streaming via YouTube, bringing audiences into the competition in real time.
Ten selected home cooks, drawn from a nationwide search, will battle across high-pressure culinary challenges in pursuit of a grand prize worth ₦73 million and the coveted title of Nigeria’s first MasterChef champion.
The contestants represent a blend of creativity, technical skill and cultural inspiration, with organisers promising a season filled with intense competition and standout performances.
Judging duties will be handled by respected culinary experts Chef Stone and Chef Eros, both of whom have described the upcoming season as a showcase of Nigeria’s evolving food culture and rising culinary talent.
