GRV Lagos ADC loyalty statement respect as politician thanks departing members but confirms he remains in ADC amid political realignments

Lagos-based politician and African Democratic Congress (ADC) member, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, widely known as GRV Lagos, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, issued a statement in Lagos responding to recent political movements while reaffirming his continued membership of the ADC.

In the GRV Lagos ADC loyalty statement respect, Mr Rhodes-Vivour addressed individuals who have chosen to leave the party for other political platforms, describing their decisions as difficult and deserving of respect.

He noted that political transitions often reflect differing convictions within a shared national aspiration, stressing that all actors remain united in the broader goal of building a better Nigeria, even when their paths diverge.

Mr Rhodes-Vivour expressed genuine goodwill towards those who have exited the platform, offering them his best wishes as they pursue new political directions.

The statement carried a reflective tone, highlighting what he described as the emotional complexity of political realignments, particularly within Nigeria’s evolving democratic space.

At the same time, GRV Lagos made clear that his own political position remains unchanged, confirming his continued commitment to the ADC despite ongoing shifts within the wider political environment.

The remarks come at a time of increased political mobility, with several figures reassessing their affiliations ahead of future electoral cycles.

Political observers say the statement underscores both the fluidity of party structures and the emphasis some politicians place on ideological continuity amid change.

GRV Lagos concluded by reiterating his dedication to the ADC, signalling stability and continuity in his political alignment.
