Oyo govt list locations for free COVID-19 test, confirms 16 cases

Oyo State government has confirmed sixteen new COVID-19 cases in the State.

The State Governor, Seyi Makinde made the announcement on his Twitter page.

He also stated that free COVID-19 tests were being conducted across the state, adding that the state now has 507 confirmed cases of the disease.

He wrote, “Free COVID-19 tests are being conducted at community-based testing centres across Oyo State. If you have any strange fevers, sudden loss of taste/smell or other known COVID-19 symptoms, please visit the nearest centre to get tested.

“The COVID-19 confirmation tests for sixteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE.

“The cases are from Ibadan North West (4), Ibadan North (3), Ibadan South West (3), Lagelu (2), Egbeda (2) and Itesiwaju (2) LGAs.

“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 507.”
