Elev8 Media Advertising Limited, the outdoor advertising company behind several prominent Lagos billboards, has expanded into digital advertising through Lagos Life, a browser-based game that recreates everyday life in the city.
The company announced that its brand now appears on advertising spaces within the virtual city, giving it access to players who work, socialise, earn virtual money and furnish homes in the digital environment.

In a statement shared on social media, Elev8 Media said the move was driven by its interest in supporting innovative ideas that connect with audiences.
“The Lagos Life team took the everyday experience of our city and turned it into something people cannot stop playing. Ideas like that deserve support, and we wanted Elev8 to be part of the story from the start,” the company said.
Elev8 Media is known for outdoor advertising locations in Lagos, including King of Marina at CMS and The Majesty at TBS.
The company recently relaunched King of Marina with a new LED screen and introduced elev8mediabookings.com, an online platform that allows advertisers to view and book its billboard inventory.
Its entry into Lagos Life represents an extension of its advertising presence into a digital environment where brands can reach audiences beyond conventional outdoor placements.
Lagos Life allows players to experience a virtual version of Lagos through activities such as working, earning money, furnishing homes, moving around the city and interacting with other players.
The game runs directly in a web browser without requiring a download. It is free to access, although paid features are also available.
Elev8 Media reported that Lagos Life recorded more than 27.9 million visits on October 9, 2026, with more than 100,000 players online simultaneously.
The traffic figure was provided by the company and has not been independently verified in the supplied report.
Other reports have also highlighted the game’s rapid growth, citing more than 100,000 concurrent players and a total player count exceeding two million during its first week.
Created by Nigerian developer Shalom Mathew, Lagos Life has attracted attention for translating familiar aspects of urban life into an interactive online experience. Mathew has reportedly said she built the game’s first version in under 12 hours.
Businesses can purchase billboard placements and other advertising spaces within the game, while musicians have also used the virtual environment to promote new releases.
The development illustrates how advertising companies can explore digital environments alongside traditional outdoor media to connect with audiences in new ways.
For Elev8 Media, the move brings its established billboard business into a virtual setting where advertising is integrated into the player experience.
As browser-based games and interactive platforms attract larger audiences, such environments may offer brands additional channels for visibility and engagement, particularly among younger consumers.

The scale and effectiveness of the opportunity will depend on sustained player activity, audience engagement and the ability of advertisers to measure the impact of their campaigns.
