Mexican authorities are investigating the deaths of TikTok influencer Cinthya Abigail “Cindy” Tamez, her partner and their three sons in Montemorelos, Nuevo León.
Tamez, 33, her partner Leodegario Moya Garza, 28, and their sons Christian, 11, Bruno, 10, and Gustavo, 2, were found dead on 30 September 2026.
The Nuevo León State Attorney General’s Office has said the main line of investigation is that Tamez was responsible for the deaths of her partner and children before taking her own life.
Hours before the bodies were discovered, Tamez posted a TikTok message stating: “Not everyone knows my dark side. I’d burn down my own house just to watch my neighbor’s house go up in flames, even if it hurts me too.”
Tamez had tens of thousands of followers on the platform.
The investigation remains ongoing.
