Arsenal secured a vital 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday, with substitute Noni Madueke scoring a late winner.
The goal came in the 80th minute at the City Ground when Madueke’s shot took a deflection off defender Jair Cunha and beat goalkeeper Matz Sels.
It was Arsenal’s only shot on target in a difficult match in which Mikel Arteta’s side struggled to create clear chances.
The result keeps Arsenal second in the Premier League table, three points behind leaders Manchester City.
Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, have dropped into the relegation zone after another home defeat.
Madueke had come on at half-time for Eberechi Eze and provided the decisive moment after Arsenal controlled much of the possession but lacked cutting edge.
The Gunners will next turn their attention to the Champions League.
