Nigerian Afrobeats singer Omah Lay has been reportedly rushed to hospital in Los Angeles after sustaining an injury during a rehearsal for an acrobatic stunt.

Video footage circulating on social media on Tuesday showed the singer lying on a stretcher as paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department wheeled him towards an ambulance at dusk.

According to reports, the incident occurred while Omah Lay was practising acrobatic moves for a performance. A leaked chat shared online quoted someone present at the rehearsal as saying the singer “fucked up his leg” while attempting the stunt.

Fans have flooded social media with messages of concern and prayers for his quick recovery.
