Students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) are set for three days of music, live entertainment and talent discovery as Soundcity OnTour arrives on campus from October 26 to 28, powered by Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink.

The event forms part of the tour’s ongoing journey across Nigerian universities, following its recent stop at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).

It aims to bring students together through music while creating opportunities for aspiring artistes to showcase their abilities.

A major attraction of Soundcity OnTour at UNILORIN will be the Bigi Music auditions, which will give campus musicians an opportunity to demonstrate their talent and compete for a ₦1 million prize at participating universities.

The initiative is designed to help emerging artistes gain visibility, build confidence and take steps towards pursuing careers in music.

For Bigi, the partnership extends beyond campus entertainment. The brand says its involvement reflects a commitment to connecting with young Nigerians, celebrating their creativity and supporting opportunities for new talent to be discovered.

Speaking ahead of the Ilorin stop, Biola Aransiola, Brand Manager at Bigi, said young Nigerians needed platforms where they could express themselves and showcase their abilities.

“Young Nigerians are full of creativity, ambition and talent, and we believe they deserve platforms where their voices can be heard,” Aransiola said.

She added that the collaboration with Soundcity OnTour was intended to bring music closer to students while allowing aspiring performers to demonstrate their potential.

“We want students to participate, express themselves and make the most of an experience that combines entertainment with the possibility of taking their talent to the next level,” she said.

Fearless Energy Drink will also contribute to the campus experience, with the event expected to combine music, student participation and youthful expression.

Beyond the performances, the organisers are encouraging students to use the opportunity to connect with fellow music enthusiasts and explore their creative interests.

With Bigi and Fearless backing the initiative, Soundcity OnTour is continuing its campus engagement across Nigeria, placing emerging talent and student entertainment at the centre of the experience.
