‘Fear toto!’ Buhari aide slammed over Burna Boy

A Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, is currently under fire after he publicly praised Burna Boy’s new album, Twice as Tall.

Ahmad tweeted that Burna Boy has done it again by releasing such an excellence piece of art but it seems Nigerians are not taking it easy with him.

He has done it again, @burnaboy my guy. #AfricanGiant now #TwiceAsTall https://t.co/kv7hpn5dd0

— Bashir Ahmad (@BashirAhmaad) August 14, 2020

In Burnaboy’s album, apparently, he mentioned some x-rated words like ‘Fear Toto, Fok Yansh’, to mention a few, and this is one of the reasons some Nigerians on twitter are not taking it lightly.

Many have described him as a hypocrite for talking about such an album that has those words in it, coupled with the fact that he is a Muslim, who should see all those words as ‘Haram’, which means abomination.

Hypocrite … Listening to a song that contains words like “Toto” “Fuck”… Isn’t that Haram?.

But you can endorse killing of another singer, and release Boko haram https://t.co/c15iwRp50b

— TanimowoOfLagos¶ (@OffishialOlu) August 14, 2020

However, this wouldn’t have come to play if Bashir Ahmad had not supported death sentence for blasphemy in one of his tweets years ago.

This tweet was dug up after a Kano court sentenced a musician to death for speaking against Mohammed In a song.

It would be recalled that Bashir Ahmad considered himself a devoted Muslim who wouldn’t allow any stain on his religion, this is also the reason he supported death sentence for blasphemy.
