On Saturday November 7, 2020, somewhere in Lagos Island, stars, celebrities and entertainers had swell time at the release of Bobby Black’s EP titled Road2Stardom as friends, families and colleagues turned out in numbers to grace the occasion.
In an interview with the media, the upcoming artiste,Habeeb Abidemi Ajayi, popularly known as Bobby Black opened up on his journey into music.
Can we meet you?
My name is Habeeb Abidemi Ajayi popularly known as Bobby Black. I am from Ogun State.
How do you get into music?
I noticed that I have the talent a long time ago while I was still in secondary school between 2003/2004. I used to drum on the desks in class. The conviction came in 2006 when I listen to more of Akon and from there I discovered I can write songs on my own. And since I set my heart to it back then, I have not looked back since.
What inspires you into music?
I derive inspirations from the pains I am go through and mostly what is happening around me, my country and more.
Any advice for the upcoming artiste like you?
My advice for upcoming and young artiste is; believe in yourself. It is the way you see yourself that people will see you. You have to believe that your success lays on your shoulders.
Any artiste you wish to collaborate with?
I wish to collaborate with Burnaboy, Simi, Kiss Daniel, Brymo, 2Baba, Wizkid, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Teni Makanaki; I cant name them all!
Any terrible experience?
Well, the bad experience I can lay my hands on now is about radios, TV stations and influencers not ready to use my contents because I’m not as popular as their expectations.
Can you mention your past performances?
I have performed in several events all around Lagos and other states. My past includes MC Hallelujah official unveiling of OVkings at Lekki and my EP listening party on November 7, 2020.
If not music, what else do you think you might be doing now?
A footballer or soldier was what I have in mind if not music.
If you could change anything about the entertainment industry, what will it be?
I will ensure artistes eat from their sweats; getting paid royalties for their hard-work.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
You are destined to make it; just keep your head up and keep soaring high.
What is next for you?
My new videos Believe, Groove Ft Areezy, Bolatito Ft Semat will be dropped on November 15, 2020 on all digital platforms and TV stations and I still have more videos coming in like sweet mother and loose ft Vyper an America based artist also shot and directed by Joel Matt (Born to do it)

My song is everywhere.
How is Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, to you?
I met Bolanle Ninalowo in 2011 and he really tried a lot for me. He give me good advice on how to embark on my musical career and he also gave me the privilege to record free in his studio Diesel Music back then in 2011. If not that he is at movie location at the moment, he would have been here. He has been very supportive and I give him Kudos and appreciate him always.
How did you meet Taiwo Oduala?
Taiwo Oduala is just like my mini god; he is my boss and CEO of Oduataj Productions and Entertainment. I met him in 2014 and he promised to sign me under his label Oduataj Entertainment and since then, he has been my everything. I released my first single titled Ire under Oduataj Entertainment in 2018, the video was shot by Joel Matt (Born to do it) and released under Oduataj Entertainment in 2019. And I have some couple of songs on iTunes Spotify Audiomack and all other digital platforms through him. I am so happy I met a man like him.
Who is your director and manager?
Joel Matt is my video director and manager. He has been the brain box behind Oduataj Entertainment. Dotun Adekunle,the CEO of Ferari Entertainment, a company into promotion and hospitality to artiste and clubs, is also my manager; he is also here tonight to support my dream. I will also not forget my boss’ twin brother, Kenny Oduala for his full support and advice at all times.
