The Nigerian Army on Tuesday redeployed Brig-Gen Sagir Musa, who has been serving as its acting spokesperson, to the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Minna, Niger State.

Musa, who took charge of the information unit of the Nigerian Army since the exit of Brig. General Kukasheka Usman, was, however, replaced with a one-time director, Army Public Relations of the NA, Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yerima.

It was gathered that the ongoing shake-up being carried out by the newly appointed Chief of Army Staff, Maj-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, will affect some other top military officers at Defence Headquarters, Abuja.

Though there is no official statement on the appointment yet but a top military personnel told our correspondent that the COAS said it was expedient to reposition the information units of Nigerian Army.

Yerima, before his new appointment was at the PR unit of Defence Headquarters, Abuja. He had also served in various military formations.
