The 112 polling units within the Odogbolu local government has played host to the foremost Chairmanship aspirant of the LGA, Dr. Babatunde Oyetola Diya.

The tour of the polling units within the 15 wards of the LGA which started with Aluko polling unit in Ward 12 saw DTD as fondly called and his Yellow Initiative Team through to 111 others. The Ward Chairmen/women of each wards accompanied Dr Diya as he toured thier wards, seeking advise on the way forward in mitigating the issues each locality faced.

The tour, from Aluko ward in Ala, to Odogbon, Agada, Odogbolu and concluded at Irete polling unit of Omu ward has been described by Diya as an eye-opener and one of his best political experiences and interactions with the people of his community so far.

“Of course we have embarked on some life-changing interventions in areas of Health, Education, Sports, Environment and other aspects of human endeavors, this tour has become necessary in order to feel the pulse of the people at the grassroots directly and to reaffirm the commitment of implementing H.Es progressive policies at the council level”.

“Part of what we achieved with this tour was that, we were able to come closer to the party leadership, party members at the grassroots, to further understand the problems the Odogbolu Local Government constituents face on a daily basis. It was indeed an eye-opener” Dr. Diya said.

Thanking the handlers of the party from the national, state and local government levels, Tunde Diya noted that the organisation and management of the registration process so far has also been the reason the party has remained united, focused and determined to sustain its place as the biggest political party in Africa. To be specific, the process has been handled tremendously well in Ogun State.

On the other hand, Dr. Diya praised His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for his giant strides and contributions to the local government. Noting that “Prince Dapo Abiodun has done extremely well for the local government in areas of Infrastructure, Social and Welfare, Education, Youth Empowerments and Agriculture under the I.S.E.Y.A 5 implementation pillars.

Dr Diya concluded as saying “the future of Odogbolu Local Government couldn’t be brighter with the advent of H.E at the helm of affairs”
