‘Battling Covid’ Kaduna investigates woman’s claim of vomiting blood after receiving vaccine

The Kaduna State Government said the case of the woman in a viral video who claimed to have vomited blood after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine is being investigated.

The state government also assured that the result of the investigation would be made public.

It was reported how a woman named Hanatu Tanko in a video posted on social media claimed to have vomited blood after taking the vaccine at Kaduna South Secretariat.

The video went viral which made the Health ministry send their epidemiology to ascertain her health condition.

The State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Mohammed Boloni, tweeted the reaction of the ministry on her Twitter handle on Thursday.

According to her, so far over 72,000 persons have been vaccinated in the state and that the ministry has equally investigated three instances of serious adverse reactions.

Her tweets read: “Over 72,000 persons have been vaccinated in Kaduna State.

“We have investigated three instances of serious adverse reactions.

“The case of the woman in the viral video is also being investigated and the results will be made public.”
