Speaking while commissioning the project, Obasanjo noted that, land transportation are vital for all aspects of successful human endeavors in any economy.
He commended Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for awarding the contract, adding that the project would enhance economic activities, well being and welfare of the people of the state.
In his remarks, the governor explained that over N10 billion was being spent on road projects across the metropolis.
According to Tambuwal, the flyover project was long overdue due to the nature of the area.
The Commissioner for Land and Housing, Aminu Bala Bodinga, said the project would be completed in 24 months.
