The Nigerian telecommunication giant, Globacom, has severed its relationship with one of the Nigeria’s foremost second-generation agencies, SO&U, after eight years of agency-client journey.

While Freelanews is not privy to the reason the juicy account was pulled, it was, however, alleged that it ended on a good note.

According to a post shared on agency’s Instagram handle, @sounigeria, SO&U acknowledged that it was a fun ride with Globacom.

“What a ride! Thank you Globacom. Thank you for an unprecedented 8 years of partnership.

“It was fun while it lasted and we did some outstanding work together. But nothing lasts forever. We wish you the very best,” it wrote.

It would be noted that while the relationship lasted, the two companies had teamed up to churn out several award winning creatives transversing the shores of the African continent.

One of such was when the agency was declared winner of an Emerald award in the Main – Continental – Awards category for Glo’s ‘Grandpa Goes to London’ campaign at the African Cristal creative festival held in Morocco some years ago.

Industry players, however, wait with bated breath to know the next agency to be blessed with the Mike Adenuga-owned company’s creative account.
