Termii Chief Executive Officer, Gbolade Emmanuel, on Sunday, October 5, 2026, announced the launch of Termii V4 unified messaging platform, introducing an upgraded communication infrastructure designed to combine API messaging, automated marketing campaigns, and omnichannel customer support into a single integrated system for businesses operating across Africa and global markets.
The announcement, made through an official product release, marks a significant evolution of Termii’s communication infrastructure, which the company says has already processed more than five billion transactions with a 99.9 percent uptime record.

The Termii V4 unified messaging platform is positioned as a response to long-standing fragmentation in business communication systems.
Speaking on the launch, Emmanuel said the new platform reflects a shift in how businesses should view customer engagement, moving away from isolated communication tools towards a connected relationship-driven system.
“Customer communication is no longer about individual messages or individual channels,” Emmanuel said. “Every interaction is part of a larger customer relationship, and businesses need infrastructure that allows them to understand and act on that relationship.
Termii V4 brings together the foundation businesses already trust with the intelligence and support needed to build stronger customer experiences.”
The Termii V4 unified messaging platform introduces three core capabilities branded as Signals, Engage and Resolve, each designed to handle different stages of customer interaction within a single ecosystem.
Signals serves as the messaging backbone, supporting OTPs, payment alerts, fraud notifications and other critical communications across SMS, email, voice, USSD and WhatsApp.
Unlike previous versions, these signals now carry contextual data that feeds into downstream interactions.
Engage builds on that foundation by allowing businesses to run targeted campaigns and automated customer journeys.
These can be triggered by user behaviour, transaction signals or engagement history, removing the need for separate campaign systems.
Resolve integrates customer support into the same communication flow, enabling businesses to respond through AI-driven or human agents across multiple channels, including WhatsApp, email, live chat and Instagram, while maintaining full conversation history.

Industry observers note that this approach reflects a broader shift in enterprise communication strategy, where businesses are increasingly prioritising unified customer data and real-time responsiveness.
However, they also highlight that successful implementation will depend on how effectively organisations integrate existing workflows into the new structure.
The company emphasised that the Termii V4 unified messaging platform is not a complete rebuild but an expansion of its existing infrastructure, which already powers large-scale messaging operations across multiple industries.
Emmanuel added that the goal is to help businesses create more consistent customer experiences regardless of entry point. “Whether a customer starts with a payment alert, a marketing message or a support request, it should feel like one continuous conversation,” he said.
The launch comes at a time when African businesses are increasingly adopting AI-powered communication tools and omnichannel engagement systems to improve customer retention and operational efficiency.
Termii said it will continue to expand the platform with additional intelligence and automation features, while also offering businesses access to product walkthroughs and demos to support onboarding and integration.
