About three months ago, Aubrey “Drake” Graham placed all three homes that made up his sprawling Hidden Hills compound on the market, asking a combined total $22.2 million.
The Canadian music superstar quickly sold two of those properties to L.A. Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford in April for $11 million. And now he’s managed to offload the final piece of the puzzle — his 16,000-square-foot Tudor-style house known as the YOLO (You Only Live Once) Estate.
Records show the buyer is Iran-born attorney Makan Delrahim, a high-profile partner at international law firm Latham & Watkins and a former U.S. assistant attorney general appointed during Donald Trump’s presidency. Originally listed for $14.8 million, the property went to Delrahim for a significantly discounted $11.3 million, per records. But that’s still almost $3.6 million more than Drake paid restaurateur Larry Pollack for the place a decade ago, back in July 2012.
Nestled on a secluded cul-de-sac in affluent Hidden Hills, on a three-acre parcel surrounded by equestrian trails, the stucco and terracotta-roof structure features seven bedrooms and nine baths sprawled across 12,500 square feet of living space. Glitzy amenities include six fireplaces, a wine cellar and tasting room, 25-seat movie theater, recording studio and lounge, and even a mechanical bull.
Other highlights include an expansive living room resting beneath a vaulted wood-beam ceiling and sporting a veined-marble fireplace alongside a seated wet bar, a formal step-down dining room with picture windows overlooking the grounds, and a gourmet kitchen outfitted with powder blue cabinetry, an eat-in island and top-tier stainless appliances.
There’s also a fireside family room that flows out to an al fresco dining terrace, while a wood-paneled bookshelf opens to reveal a nearly 2,000-square-foot master retreat decked out with seating areas and a mini-bar, as well as a luxe bath equipped with dual vanities, marble-clad soaking tubs and a so-called “partners spa.”
Garnering extra attention is the resort-like backyard, which hosts everything from a pool with spa grotto, swim-up bar, waterfalls, an 80-foot rock waterslide and several flat-screen TVs, to stables, a tennis/basketball court and even a sandy volleyball court.
As for Drake, he’s far from homeless. The “God’s Plan” singer recently paid $75 million for Robbie Williams’ Beverly Hills-area estate. And he also still owns a highly customized, 50,000-square-foot megamansion in Toronto’s exclusive Bridle Path neighborhood.
The listing was held by Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates; Lisa Moriarity of Rodeo Realty repped the buyer.
