The much-anticipated novelty football game between Team Fadarian and Team Fadfm to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the premier private radio station in Calabar took place on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
The event, which was held at the football field of Eastern Secondary School, Calabar, witnessed the dexterity of both teams in a healthy and friendly but stiffly competed game that ended in favor of Team Fadarian in a 4-1 result.
Fadfm FC had players made up of staff of Fadfm and representatives of other stations, including Hitfm and Correctfm respectively.
Fadarian FC had players made up of Fad lovers, callers, listeners and well-wishers.
The event was kickstarted with a kick-off by the Chief Executive Officer of FADFM and FAD360TV, Mr. Fidelis Duker, ably represented by the Head of Station, Mrs. Tina Akwaeke.
According to a remark by Mr. Fidelis Duker, the game ended on an exciting note as both teams cheered their favorites.
Duker also thanked fans and supporters of FADFM for their support throughout the five years of existence of the station, adding that FADFM will continue to serve them better.
In attendance were also top executives of FAD FM including the Marketing Director, Mrs. Temitope Duker, FADFM listeners, Okpo records, among other celebrities, and other well-wishers for both teams.
The game ended on an exciting note as both teams cheered their favorites and medals were presented to both teams for their exemplary game.
Highlights of the event also include the presentation of the FADFM theme song, music by Upper X, thank you messages from the staff of FADFM, and goodwill messages from listeners and well-wishers, amongst others.
