The national leadership of the African Democratic Congress has intensified its ADC Ekiti Governorship Campaign by unveiling a broad grassroots mobilisation strategy, including door-to-door voter engagement, ahead of the June 20 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The party also constituted a national campaign council and several specialised committees tasked with coordinating outreach, policy communication, media engagement and voter mobilisation across the state.
Details of the campaign structure were contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Director of Media and Publicity of the Dare Bejide Campaign Council, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, in Ado Ekiti.
According to the statement, the ADC has directed its Contact and Mobilisation Committee to embark on extensive voter sensitisation efforts and direct engagement with residents in communities across the state.
The committee has been specifically mandated to explain the party’s manifesto and address voters’ concerns on key sectors, including education, healthcare, agriculture and youth employment.
“The Contact and Mobilisation Committee has been tasked with voter sensitisation and door-to-door engagement as focus will be on explaining the ADC’s manifesto and addressing concerns around education, healthcare, agriculture and youth employment,” the statement said.
The ADC said the campaign structure comprises more than 100 members spread across various committees established to strengthen grassroots connections and improve communication with voters as election day approaches.
The committees include the campaign council, media and publicity committee, contact and mobilisation committee, policy and protocol committee, and youth and women engagement committee.
According to the party, the campaign framework adopts a decentralised approach designed to ensure that local issues remain central to campaign activities across different communities.
The ADC stated that each committee has been assigned specific responsibilities, while local coordinators have been given flexibility to tailor strategies to the realities of their respective areas.
Under the arrangement, the media and publicity committee will oversee press relations, social media activities and broadcast engagements aimed at increasing public awareness of the party’s programmes.
The policy and manifesto committee has been charged with translating the party’s campaign promises into practical, sector-based proposals.
The committee includes professionals from education, healthcare and engineering backgrounds who are expected to help develop actionable policy plans.
A notable feature of the campaign structure is the prominent role assigned to young people and women.
The youth and women engagement committee will coordinate rallies, voter education programmes and community-based activities intended to broaden participation and support for the party.
The ADC said logistics and security sub-committees have also been established to manage campaign materials and ensure compliance with electoral regulations throughout the election period.
The party added that it is working closely with relevant agencies to promote peaceful conduct before, during and after the governorship election.
With less than two weeks remaining before voters head to the polls, the ADC Ekiti Governorship Campaign is expected to focus heavily on grassroots engagement as the party seeks to build momentum for its candidate, Dare Bejide, in what is shaping up to be a closely watched contest.
