Adimike family murder statement warns against misinformation as police continue investigating the killing of Lucky G.C. Adimike

The family of Mr Lucky G.C. Adimike has condemned what it described as widespread misinformation and speculation surrounding the gruesome killing of the Anambra native, urging the public to allow police investigators to complete their work without interference.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, the Adimike Family said several narratives circulating across social media platforms and some news outlets were false, misleading and unsupported by facts emerging from the ongoing investigation.

The family stressed that no official conclusion had been reached regarding the identity of those responsible for the killing, warning against the growing trend of assigning blame without verified evidence.

“The family states unequivocally that many of the claims currently being peddled are speculative, misleading, and unsupported by facts emerging from the ongoing police investigation,” the statement read.

Adimike family described the circulation of unverified allegations as irresponsible and emotionally painful at a time of profound grief.

Relatives also appealed to media organisations and members of the public to avoid sensational reporting and speculation that could compromise the investigation or deepen the family’s anguish.

The statement further called on Nigerians to keep the family in their prayers while security authorities continue efforts to uncover those behind the shocking murder.

Killing of Lucky G.C. Adimike has generated intense reactions online, with competing claims and commentary spreading rapidly across digital platforms in recent days.

However, the family maintained that only the outcome of the police investigation should determine responsibility, insisting that patience and restraint remain critical as authorities continue their work.
