AICL hosts roundtable to drive FCT investment through strategic partnerships

Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) convened key development partners and financial institutions for its fifth post-summit roundtable, aiming to unlock the FCT’s investment potential through structured finance and collaborations

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n its ongoing efforts to stimulate investment and sustainable development in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Abuja Investments Company Limited (AICL) recently hosted its fifth post-summit roundtable at its Abuja headquarters.

The session facilitated a crucial dialogue between key development partners and financial institutions, focusing on leveraging structured finance and strategic partnerships to achieve the FCT’s economic objectives.

Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, the Group Managing Director/CEO of AICL, in her welcome address, acknowledged the unwavering support of the Honourable Minister for FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, in advancing the vision of Abuja as a leading investment destination.

She underscored the vital role of partnerships in positioning Abuja as Nigeria’s premier investment gateway.

Today’s meeting bridges a gap between our development partners and financial institutions—key players in unlocking the FCT’s economic potential.” – Ambassador Maureen Tamuno, GMD/CEO, AICL.

Ambassador Tamuno announced two significant upcoming events spearheaded by AICL to attract global investment:

The Abuja International Investment Forum  Europe Edition, scheduled for June 19, 2025, in London, and The Abuja Business and Investment Expo, taking place in Abuja from October 21–25, 2025.

Mr. Sani Yakubu, Executive Director of the MOFI Real Estate Investment Fund, highlighted Abuja’s thriving real estate sector, noting its high return on investment compared to other major African cities.

He emphasized the necessity of strong financing mechanisms and commended AICL for its strategic role in fostering cross-sector partnerships.

AICL’s Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Abiodun Akanbi PhD, expressed gratitude to all participants for their commitment to Abuja’s growth and reaffirmed AICL’s dedication to nurturing mutually beneficial relationships.
