Super Eagles goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has strongly denied allegations of match-fixing following his suspension by Tanzanian Premier League side Singida Black Stars SC, insisting that he had no involvement in manipulating football matches.

The 26-year-old goalkeeper was handed a three-month suspension by the club on Friday over claims that he influenced the outcome of a CAF Confederation Cup fixture and a domestic league match.
Responding to the allegations, Amas Obasogie described the accusations as unfounded and pledged to clear his name through the appropriate disciplinary process.
The goalkeeper maintained that the goals conceded during the matches in question resulted from normal footballing errors rather than deliberate misconduct.
