Anambra Police recover ₦636,700, firearms, and abandoned vehicle after robbery suspects flee during chase in Abagana, Njikoka LGA.
The Anambra Police Command has recovered ₦636,700 in cash, firearms, and an accidented vehicle abandoned by robbery suspects in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area.

The recovery was confirmed in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out by the Commissioner of Police’s Special Patrol Team on 16 December at about 5:00 pm. SP Ikenga said the officers seized one pump-action rifle, a locally fabricated single-barrelled rifle, and an ash-coloured Toyota Highlander with registration number UWN 680 PE.
“The operatives also recovered suspected stolen cash amounting to ₦636,700 and other incriminating items,” the PPRO stated, noting that the suspects fled after colliding with another vehicle during a high-speed chase.

He added that the command had intensified intelligence-led operations to track and arrest the fleeing suspects, assuring residents of continued proactive policing to maintain law and order and safeguard lives and property across the state.
