Ashabi Ramadan tears captured as Nollywood actress cries during colleague’s lecture, stirring emotional responses online
Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi and mother of singer Portable’s children, was seen in tears during a Ramadan lecture by colleague Adewunmi Fatai on 12 March 2026 in Lagos.
The mother of two was captured wearing a hijab, visibly emotional as she stood listening to the lecture.

Ashabi’s appearance comes after a challenging few months, which began with a publicised argument with Portable. According to reports, the altercation involved physical confrontations and escalated tensions between Ashabi, her siblings, and the singer’s family.
Ashabi alleged she was attacked during a New Year visit, while Portable accused her of attempting to harm his household.
Despite the public scrutiny, Ashabi has urged followers and critics to give her space, stating she needs time to reflect and make decisions independently.
She also described Portable as a narcissist, noting his unpredictable behaviour and anger issues have forced her to carefully manage her interactions with him.
