Mogaji assisted in distributing the boots and described Awoniyi as a committed partner in grassroots sports development.
He stressed that providing young athletes with the necessary equipment and opportunities was important for nurturing their talents.
He also called on other individuals and sports personalities to invest in grassroots football, saying initiatives such as the donation could help strengthen the state’s football development system.
Mogaji expressed hope that Awoniyi’s intervention would encourage more prominent sports figures to support aspiring athletes in their communities.
Speaking at the event, Kwara Kiddies League Chief Operating Officer Ibrahim Jatto thanked the Taiwo Awoniyi Foundation on behalf of the competition’s more than 500 young participants.
Jatto said the foundation had supported the league over the years by providing playing kits, meals and cash rewards worth millions of naira for outstanding players.
He added that the latest donation would motivate the youngsters, many of whom aspire to become professional footballers.
Jatto also highlighted the league’s efforts to improve players’ visibility through subscriptions to Wyscout and Eyeball, platforms used for football scouting and performance analysis.
“With increased visibility through our league’s subscriptions on Wyscout and Eyeball, your continued support is helping create greater opportunities for these young talents,” he said.
Awoniyi, who serves as chairman of the Kwara Kiddies League, has continued to support youth football through initiatives aimed at helping emerging players access resources and development opportunities.
