Blue Lagos riverine engagement campaign is designed to amplify the voices of residents living along waterways, promote civic responsibility, and draw attention to the socio-economic challenges faced by coastal communities.

According to organisers, the initiative combines grassroots outreach with digital advocacy to ensure wider participation and improved access to information on governance and community development.

Speaking on the campaign, Director of Mobilisation and Community Engagement for the Blue Lagos Team, Hon. Ashade Abdul-Salam, said the programme is focused on direct engagement with residents to better understand their daily realities.

He noted that issues such as transportation difficulties, access to basic services, and development gaps would be central to discussions during community visits and interactive sessions.

Blue Lagos riverine civic awareness campaign will include sensitisation videos, stakeholder meetings, and on-ground outreach efforts aimed at empowering residents with knowledge on civic processes such as voter registration and local participation in development initiatives.

Organisers say the initiative is intended to build stronger connections between decision-makers and communities that have historically been underserved, while also promoting inclusive growth across Lagos State.

Residents of riverine and coastal areas have been encouraged to actively participate in the programme by sharing their experiences and engaging with ongoing civic education efforts.
