Organisers of the annual end of the year charity event designed for showing love to folks from less privileged homes, homes of people with special abilities and correctional centres popularly known as Glowfux Charity Concert have announced plans for hosting the 2020 edition of the event.

The event which aims at giving the needy unique feel of the Christmas celebration with varieties of fun ranging from games, Christmas give-aways, performances by entertainment practitioners is scheduled to hold at Labi Oasis Cinema, Labi Oasis B/Stop (Odo Eran), Ikorodu Lagos on Boxing day (26th of December 2020) from 12 noon to 5pm.

Giving Love With Fun 4 Xmas (aptly called GLOWFUX Charity Concert) is a unique atmosphere where children of the haves and have-nots hang out together, play and share happiness without any discrimination. It is also an avenue for the general public specially invited as guests to present relief/gift items to the needy homes present there.

According to the organisers, the resolve to host this year’s edition regardless of the global challenge which plagued the year stemmed from the belief that everyone deserves to be happy and thankful to God for seeing the end of year 2020.

An excerpt of the release signed by the Coordinators of the 2020 edition of the project Miss Gift Nweke & Miss Omotoyosi Fadayomi states that “it is our belief that despite the COVID-19 pandemic which has a huge negative effect on global economy, we are not unaware of the plausibility of families and friends coming together to rejoice for seeing the end of the year; albeit the celebration might not be as elaborate as it used to be. Hence, the need not to deprive our friends at less privileged homes, homes of people with special abilities and correctional centres from enjoying the annual gathering became expedient.”

Also, this year’s edition shall witness another round of GLOWFUX Hall of Charity award presentation. The GLOWFUX Hall of Charity award is a 3-category special award of recognition for members of the general society identified to possess track record in humanitarian and philanthropic feats. The awards categories are: Glowfux Man of the year, GLOWFUX Woman of the year, and GLOWFUX NGO of the year.
