A Canada-based Nigerian man, Mayowa Fawole, has found himself at the centre of a tragic accident during his visit to Nigeria.

According to an anonymous source close to the family, the sequence of events leading to the unfortunate incident began on the 19th of January, 2023, when Mayowa arrived in Nigeria from Canada for a vacation and family visit.

The initial days of his visit involved a blend of joyous occasions, as Mayowa attended a friend’s wedding in Ilorin, Kwara State, on the 20th and 21st of January. Following the celebration, he proceeded to his parents’ house in Ibadan, Oyo State, on the same day, January 21st.

However, the turn of fate occurred on the 28th of January when Mayowa embarked on a journey to Lagos to spend time with friends. On the 29th, he made a visit to his fiancee’s parents in Owo, Ondo State, a trip that would mark a crucial point in his visitation to Nigeria.

Mayowa, on his way back to Lagos to catch his return flight to Canada, was involved in a tragic accident. He was reportedly a passenger in a hired Toyota Camry at the time, and unfortunately, he was asleep and unaware of the events surrounding him during the incident.

The accident occurred around Mowe, adjacent to the popular Redeemed Christian Church of God’s camp in Lagos.

Thanks to the prompt response of the police and road safety personnel on the scene, Mayowa was rescued by eye-witnesses and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for initial treatment.

Upon receiving the distressing news, Mayowa’s parents, who were informed of the accident, hurried to the hospital for a comprehensive evaluation of their son’s condition.

Regrettably, Mayowa remained in an unconscious state, adding to the concerns and worries of his family and friends.

As the details surrounding the accident unfold, we pray and hope for Mayowa’s recovery and a return to normalcy after this tragic episode.
